Project description
Having in mind present situation in the medical education in Bosnia and Herzegovina (B&H), the main objective of this project would be developing of new teaching and examining methods in this area. Speaking more precisely, we are intending to develop and implement Web based platform, Computer based training (CBT) software package and problem oriented learning (POL) studies on the medical faculties of participating partner universities. Also second output of the project will be introduction of Objective Structured Clinical Examination of the students.
 
Wider objective
Introducing of new modern approach in teaching, learning and assessing in Medicine through implementation of new teaching and examining methods in curricula at Medical faculties in B&H.
 
Specific project objectives
1) Identification of present teaching and examining methods at Medical faculties Universities in the region and EU Universities
2) Creating of plan for introducing of new teaching and examining methods
3) Implementation of new teaching and examining methods during third project year
4) Evaluation of changes in teaching process at Med. Faculties in B&H during and at the end of the project
5) Dissemination of project results

1.1 Evaluation of existing teaching methods at partner Universities
1.2 Evaluation of teaching methods in EU partners
3.1 Plan for education of teaching staff in new teaching and evaluation methods and plan for creating paper cases for POL, reliable software for CBL platform for WBL and OSCE
3.2 Education of teaching staff for new teaching methods through seminars at partner Universities
3.3 Education of teaching staff for new teaching methods through visits to EU partners
4.1 Creating a paper cases for POL
4.2 Modification of Campus software for CBL and using existing platform for WBL

Inputs
Academic staff costs for developing of new teaching material, for teaching students about new teaching methods and implementation those methods during pilot project yearAcademic staff costs for engineers in charged for developing of software for CBL and platform for WBL and for planning, finding and installation of new equipment. Administrative staff costs for organising dissemination seminars, short education visits and for the management of the whole project.
Cost of stay and travel costs for staff: 40 flows in first year, 140 flows in second year, and 50 in third year.Purchase of new equipment like: Overheads for management of the project. Other costs for visa costs, transferring of the money and bank exchange. Printing costs for material for meetings, reports, and teaching material.
